Psychological and Neuropsychological Evaluations

General Psychological and Intellectual Evaluations

Psychological evaluations are designed to assess a wide range of psychological disorders.  Through a targeted view of the underlying causes of personality, intellectual functioning, adaptive behaviors, and emotional disorders, a more appropriate treatment for individuals suffering from mental health issues may be determined.  Psychological evaluations also assist in recommending appropriate and more targeted approaches to treatment based on the information obtained through this evaluation.

Neuropsychological Evaluations (Adolescents Only)

Neuropsychological evaluations are designed to assess for potential deficits that may impact a child or adolescent’s ability to navigate their environment.  By evaluating their strengths and weaknesses, as well as any significant differences within and between these abilities a more comprehensive understanding of an individual’s abilities in academics, cognitive functioning, behavioral, social functioning, adaptive functioning, and neuropsychological abilities can be obtained.  Neuropsychological evaluations can also help to identify emotional or personality issues that may impact a person’s ability to effectively engage in their environment as well as to identify targeted approaches to strengthen their chances for success in the future.
